Here’s a fresh Lemon & Ginger Green Juice recipe for you that is mild, slightly sweet, and rich in vitamin C.
I was in Hawaii all last week and the resort where my husband and I stayed had a juice bar. It felt so healthy to drink a green juice with breakfast every morning and I’m pretty sure all those nutrients helped keep me healthy even while traveling.
And, believe it or not, it’s actually been legitimately cold in California for the past few weeks so I haven’t been eating as many salads and raw veggies, opting for hot, cooked foods instead. In my opinion, a green juice is such an easy way to get the antioxidants we all need on a daily basis.
I’ve had my juicer for almost six years now and it still works like a champ (this is almost the exact one that I have).
The recipe I’m sharing today has the brightness of lemon and lime, along with some tang from fresh ginger. To keep the juice mild in flavor, I used cucumber, celery, and red pepper for the veggies, and one apple for sweetness. It’s my fave juice recipe right now!
- 1 medium cucumber, sliced
- 1 head of celery, separated into about 8-10 stalks
- ½” knob of fresh ginger, peeled
- 1 red pepper, sliced
- 1 Fuji or Honeycrisp apple, sliced
- 1 lemon, skin removed
- 1 lime, skin removed
- Prep all of your ingredients. Feed them through the tube of a juicer, alternating soft and hard pieces. Serve the juice immediately or store any leftovers covered in the refrigerator.
