Vegetable Quinoa Salad from Forks Over Knives website

Guess what? My Vegetable Quinoa Salad with Herbed Hemp Dressing is featured on the Forks Over Knives website! I’m so proud and I just had to share. 🙂

I’m listed on the FOK’s Contributor page now which blows my mind:

Forks Over Knives contributor page

The movie Forks Over Knives is one of my “must-see” resources and was an important part of my commitment to a healthy, vegan lifestyle. Even thought it’s been several years since the movie was released, I admire the way the producers have continued creating fresh content and products to help educate and inform people about the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle.

I was really excited when the website manager first got in touch with me several months ago. He introduced himself and set up a phone conference with the creator and executive producer of the movie, Brian Wendel, the website manager, and me. Together, we searched my database of recipes from both my blog recipe list and my recipe app, Vegan Delish, and thought that my vegetable quinoa salad was the perfect fit.

The team then tested the recipe and professionally photographed it and, ta-da!, that’s how it all went down.

As you can probably guess, I highly encourage you to visit the Forks Over Knives website, watch or re-watch the movie, and sign up for the newsletter so you don’t miss any new recipes and news from the whole foods, plant-based movement.

I printed it off from FOK website early this morning because it looked so delicious, not knowing it was yours! It is on my lunch menu for tomorrow. Thanks!

    Hi Carrie!
I am so happy for you! You should be very proud of all the work you have been doing. You already know how much I love your blog and it has been so enjoyable to see your accomplishments and growth. I applaud you!

I love that movie. My husband and I watched it for the first time 2 years ago and that’s how long we’ve been vegan! It completely convinced us. So much so that my husband has even made copies with Spanish subtitles (he’s Spanish) so that friends and family can watch it as well. Thanks for sharing all of your amazing recipes with us. I found you by accident on Google+ not long ago but I’ve already made a few of your recipes. It’s hard to find ingredients in Spain sometimes but I do what I can. Congratulations on your accomplishment!

Thank you, Samantha, and how wonderful that your husband made the effort to do the subtitles so his family could enjoy the movie, too. I love knowing that I have a blog reader in Spain, that makes me feel very special. Gracias!!! 🙂

    Oh that’s fantastic!!!

I’m one of your App users that received the code for free from a giveaway when you first launched. I’ve loved using it but it has been crashing for awhile now. This latest update allows me to go further, but I still can’t view a recipe before it shuts down.

Hi Chatelaine! There was a problem with the last update for Vegan Delish. To fix it, you can delete the app (press the icon until an ‘x’ appears and then delete), go back into the App Store and search for Vegan Delish. Re-load it and it will work correctly. Apologies for the inconvenience!
